What is Lek Ladki Yojana Maharashtra 2024?
Lek Ladki Yojana Maharashtra 2023 has been started by the Government of Maharashtra in 2023. Under this scheme, girls from low-income families of the state will be provided financial assistance of a total of 1 lakh 1 thousand rupees (101000/- rupees) in different phases from birth to the age of 18 years. This scheme will be applicable to daughters born after 1 April 2023.
In the state, often due to lack of money, the education of girls is not completed, due to which many times girls are also married early. Keeping this in mind, the state government has started the Lek Ladki Yojana to financially empower the future of girls. The benefit of this scheme will be given to the yellow and orange ration card holders of the state. If a girl is born in such a cardholder family, then an assistance of Rs 5,000/- will be given on birth.
After this, when the girl starts going to school, she will be given Rs 4,000 / – by the government in the first class. At the same time, the girl will get a government assistance of Rs 6,000 / – in the sixth. Rs 8,000 / – will be given in the eleventh. When the girl becomes an adult i.e. 18 years old, she will be given Rs 75 thousand by the state government. In this way the girl will get a total of 1 lakh 1 thousand rupees.
