Central Government ke Guidelines ke mutabik, states ko yeh salah di gayi hai ki woh health facilities/hospitals ko instruct karein ki ek nodal officer appoint karein jo premises ko Aedes mosquito-free banayein aur monitor karein.
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) ke health department ne aaj koi naye Zika virus infection cases report nahi kiye, lekin officials ne bataya ki woh total 41 pregnant women ke samples ke results ka intezar kar rahe hain. “Humne 10-12 bade hospitals mein surveillance activities conduct ki hain Karve Nagar, Warje, Hadapsar aur Mundhwa areas mein mosquito breeding sites check karne ke liye aur Monday ko major hospitals ke doctors ke saath meeting plan ki hai,” Dr. Kalpana Baliwant, Acting chief medical officer, Pune Municipal Corporation ne kaha.
“Zika microcephaly aur neurological consequences se associated hai foetus mein jo affected pregnant lady ka hota hai, isliye hum clinicians ko close monitoring ke liye alert karna chahte hain,” Dr. Baliwant ne add kiya. Central government ke advisory mein states ko direct kiya gaya hai ki affected areas mein ya jo affected areas se cases cater karte hain, un health facilities ko instruct karein ki pregnant women ko Zika virus infection ke liye screen karein aur expecting mothers jinhone positive test kiya hai unke foetus ka growth monitor karein.
